Creating Energetic Space: How Letting Go Opens the Door for Alignment and Growth
๐ฟ Creating Energetic Space
There comes a point where even the most familiar spaces begin to feel too small โ not because anything changed, but because you have.
๐๐๐
Before this new book of my saga began, I could feel a quiet discomfort โ the knowing that my old environment had grown too small. I had reached a point not in crisis, but in awareness โ an understanding that the space around me no longer matched the person I was becoming.
So before I finally left that environment, I had been going through everything in my life โ every aspect โ and taking an inventory of my connections, my surroundings, the objects that took up space in my room, my phone, my email. Every single place that could be considered a container or vessel for energy. Because everything, whether physical or digital, carries frequency. It all holds an energetic imprint from where itโs been and who itโs connected to.
๐๐๐
Before we can invite in new energy, we must make space for it to land.
๐๐๐
Looking back, I can see that this sifting process had been happening in cycles for years โ subtle at first, then more defined as I learned to listen to my own energy.
Each season seemed to bring its own version of clearing, another invitation to release what no longer fit, and to make space for what was trying to find me.
I was aware of what I was doing โ I just wasnโt aware of how pronounced the emptiness would feel once I finally stepped out into the liminal space that clearing created.
That strange in-between โ where the old has fallen away but the new hasnโt quite arrived โ felt both freeing and disorienting.
But even that space had purpose; it was where I learned what still had power over me, and what I was finally ready to release.
๐๐๐
The in-between is where clarity is born โ itโs where your next chapter gathers light.
๐๐๐
I do want to preface this by saying that in my past, Iโve also been on the receiving end of this same kind of clearing.
During the depths of my addiction, two of my closest friends made the painful but necessary choice to walk away.
At the time, I couldnโt see it for what it was โ an act of self-preservation and love โ but now I understand it gave me a mirror Iโd need later.
๐๐๐
Silence isnโt absence โ itโs sacred space for self-discovery.
๐๐๐
Their decision created the space and silence I didnโt know I needed.
Without their presence to distract me โ and as a lifelong people-pleaser and codependent who hadnโt yet begun the deep work of healing โ I was finally left alone with myself.
That quiet was uncomfortable at first, but it became the catalyst for my growth.
It forced me to look inward, to face the parts of myself Iโd avoided through connection and caretaking.
๐๐๐
Every ending plants the seed for a new kind of freedom.
๐๐๐
Addressing those patterns โ the people-pleasing, the codependency โ became part of healing myself as a whole. And like most healing, it wasnโt (and still isnโt) linear. While Iโve come a long way, those parts still show up in new ways at each level of growth, asking for more awareness and compassion. The truth is, healing doesnโt end; it deepens. There were and still are many aspects of myself that continue to unfold through this process, and thatโs what makes it so human.
Their absence was painful, but it was also the beginning of my awakening. It taught me how important it is to create energetic space when something โ or someone โ no longer aligns with where youโre headed.
๐๐๐
Letting go doesnโt erase connection; it clears the path for whatโs true now.
๐๐๐
So when I began my own clearing, I deleted all the contacts in my phone that I hadnโt spoken to in more than ten years. Then I deleted everyone I hadnโt spoken to in the last year, and so on. It wasnโt about judgment; it was about alignment.
And while it was definitely not easy, I had love for most of the people I deleted โ many of them had been part of my life for years. But that doesnโt change the fact that Iโm simply not the same person I was when we last connected. And since there havenโt been any real attempts to reconnect, I can only interpret that as meaning they feel the same.
By deleting their numbers and creating space, I wasnโt erasing the connection or the memories โ those still matter and always will. It was about acknowledging that the energy between us had completed its purpose. Clearing that space didnโt negate what was shared; it just opened my energetic field for the next part of my journey.
I realized that in most cases, it had been over five years since Iโd last spoken to them. So why was I still holding onto these energetic threads?
๐๐๐
Empowerment starts where reaction ends and intention begins.
๐๐๐
The thing about energy, in my experience, is that when itโs full, itโs full โ and until we clear the space, thereโs no room for the blessings to come in. Feng shui is very real, and that includes our digital spaces, too.
By the time I reached this point, I realized that what once felt like loss had transformed into choice. The earlier cycles of release had been lifeโs way of teaching me how to let go โ but this time, I wasnโt being pushed. I was choosing. The difference was intention. Instead of reacting to endings, I was creating space on purpose โ with awareness, clarity, and compassion. Thatโs when I understood what reclaiming my sovereignty really looked like: not control, but conscious participation in my own evolution.
๐๐๐
Releasing with compassion keeps love intact, even as paths diverge.
๐๐๐
Perspective is everything, too. Having a trusted guide โ whether thatโs a therapist, mentor, or energy worker โ can make all the difference in how bearable change feels. Itโs one thing to know when itโs time to release; itโs another to feel safe enough to do it.
Sometimes the simple act of having someone hold space while you move through the discomfort is what allows you to stay present instead of shutting down.
Support doesnโt make you weak; itโs what helps you integrate the lesson instead of just surviving it.
๐๐๐
Healing is most powerful when science and spirit work side by side.
๐๐๐
In my experience, I only had support from medical professionals, and while Iโm grateful for that, I can see now that the absence of energetic and spiritual guidance made my journey longer and heavier than it needed to be.
Thatโs why itโs my belief that having a holistic team of support โ including medical, therapeutic, and energetic professionals โ can make all the difference.
Healing works best when we allow both the logical and the mystical to work together. We are whole beings, and we deserve care that honors all parts of that wholeness.
๐๐๐
Clean energy begins with honoring your own capacity first.
๐๐๐
I was going to say that releasing people isnโt personal โ but the truth is, it is deeply personal. For me, it means recognizing my own limits and choosing to honor them before resentment takes root.
It doesnโt mean those whoโve been released are any less worthy โ it just means I donโt have the capacity to show up for them without abandoning myself.
Thatโs the heart of energetic work, isnโt it? Honoring our own capacity first, so we can hold clean space for others.
If Iโd heard this perspective from the friends who once distanced themselves from me, I probably wouldโve called them selfish. And that wouldโve been valid to feel โ but not accurate.
๐๐๐
The shift from taking things personally to taking responsibility for my energy changed everything.
My whole life, I had never really allowed myself to say, โNo, I donโt like feeling that way, and Iโm allowed to limit this connection.โ
Most of these relationships had already drifted naturally, and the distance only clarified what Iโd been ignoring: I deserve relationships built on mutual effort, communication, and care โ not one-sided energy that leaves me depleted.
And while I know that balance in relationships will never be a perfect 50โ50 โ because weโre human, and we move through seasons and cycles โ thatโs where discernment comes in.
Itโs about recognizing when the scales have tipped too far for too long and choosing to honor that awareness before it turns into resentment or self-abandonment.
Honoring those feelings taught me how to trust myself โ and that self-trust became the foundation of everything that followed.
๐๐๐
Self-trust is the foundation that keeps your energy balanced and true.
๐๐๐
Creating energetic space isnโt about loss; itโs about alignment โ a quiet return to yourself. Itโs the clearing before the blessing, the sacred pause between what was and whatโs next.
Some people are only meant for one page in our stories, and thatโs okay. Gratitude doesnโt require permanence. Love doesnโt always mean closeness.
And peace doesnโt need to be proven โ it just needs to be lived.
When we clear space with intention, we donโt just make room for blessings โ we invite in the next version of ourselves waiting to emerge.
๐๐๐
Clearing space is how we say โyesโ to the version of ourselves still unfolding.
๐๐๐
๐ Authorโs Note
Writing this piece was its own kind of clearing โ a reminder that healing isnโt about perfection, but presence.
If something in these words met you where you are, take it as a sign that youโre already creating space for something new.
If youโre feeling called to deepen your journey โ to release what no longer serves and reconnect with your own energy โ Iโd be honored to walk beside you.
