56 Blogs Later

A collection of colorful paper boats floats together across calm water in warm natural light.

It's a little surreal to realize I've written 56 blogs in roughly a year.

It doesn't feel like it's been a year.

When I started writing these blogs, I thought that no one would really see them. But I wanted to put them out there anyway in the hopes that if someone was in need of a different perspective, some kind words of encouragement, or just to know they aren't alone, they would find them.

I'm not sure if they've reached those people.

But somewhere along the way, these blogs ended up reassuring me too.

Reading them back and seeing how even when things change, some things remain the same has been a positive anchor for me and a reminder of why I started this in the first place.

💗💗💗

Green and changing leaves share the branches of a tree during a gradual seasonal transition.

I honestly didn't expect to still be writing them this long.

I was sure I'd run out of topics, time, or patience.

And as a solopreneur, writing every week has been a bit of a demand on my time and a labor of love.

But I kept going.

Knowing people read these blogs can still be a little scary, especially with some of the more personal subjects. But seeing that there are people who continue to read them has been rewarding. It makes me feel like I made the right choice to start sharing.

And somewhere along the way, writing them became a healing and helpful practice for my own well-being too.

My experience and environment have changed since the first blog. My baseline has changed. But the reason I started writing these hasn't really changed.

This is out there on the internet, on different platforms, and whoever finds it—if they're able to get anything from it—then I've made my mark.

That's why I started in the first place.

To uplift, inspire, and cheer on my fellow humans on this wild ride called life.

💗💗💗

A well-used writing space with a laptop, notebook, pen, and coffee reflects an ongoing creative practice.

There was even a blog I almost didn't publish because I wasn't sure if it would be helpful or relevant to most people's lived experiences.

Then I realized it doesn't need to be relevant to most people.

If it's relevant or helpful to a few people, that's good enough for me.

And if only one thing can be clear through all 56 of these blogs, it's this:

You are loved, lovable, and deserving of love, even when you're not at your best and even if you make mistakes.

You are capable of creating a life that's fulfilling and yours.

And you are deserving of living a life that's purposeful and conscious.

That's what I hope has come through.

💗💗💗

Warm sunlight breaks through the trees and illuminates part of a shaded path.

So after 56 blogs and roughly a year of writing every week, I'm going to slow things down a little.

Starting with this blog, I'll be posting every other week.

There is a little bit of sadness for me about not keeping my commitment to post once a week.

But it feels like the right decision if I want to keep writing this way long term.

I'm also looking forward to having some time to switch gears and finish up some other things.

It's a little surreal that it's already been a year, but I'm proud that I kept going.

And I'm proud that I'm still going.

To whoever has read one of these blogs—or all of them—thank you for being here.

I want to continue to share a bit of light and love for those who need it most.

And I'll see you in two weeks.

With love,
